Life is never guaranteed. Unfortunately, I learned this lesson firsthand when my father passed away unexpectedly when I was 3 years old. At the time, my family seemed to have it all - a beautiful home, two small children, and a successful attorney as the breadwinner. But with my father's sudden death, everything changed. He had no life insurance in place, and my mother, who had been a homemaker, was left with no way to support us.

In the wake of my father's passing, my mother had to sell our house and our cars were repossessed. She worked hard at a 9 to 5 job and started a business on the side, doing everything she could to provide for our family. But it was a constant struggle, and she was never home. It took her ten years of saving every penny she could to buy a new house, which was located on a beautiful street called Brightside Lane.

I named my financial company after my mother's hard work and sacrifice, as a tribute to her resilience and determination. Brightside Financial exists to help families protect themselves against unexpected loss and ensure they have a solid financial foundation in place. Life insurance is a critical part of that foundation, and it's something my family didn't have when we needed it the most.
